Awards Season is already in full swing and the jewellery the stars have been wearing has been taking centre stage with gorgeous earrings, stunning cocktail rings and statement jewels, all grabbing our attention on the red carpets. Big statement pieces were the popular choice with most celebrities, with them wearing just the one show stopping piece to stand out. Here are some of the best jewellery and accessories from the Awards Season so far.

Oversized Earrings

Oversized drop and chandelier earrings where all over the red carpet with Debra Messing, Julie Bowen, Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Heidi Klum, Catherine Zeta Jones, Jennifer Garner and many others opting for oversized earrings at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. Worn on their own, with no necklace, these earrings will make you stand out from the crowd. And with different styles and colours, you can achieve a red carpet look that fits your personality and personal style.

Statement Studs Earrings

If drop or chandelier earrings aren’t your thing, then try a pair of statement studs to glam up your outfit. Worn with her signature black dress and beehive hairdo, Adele wore a stunning pair of Van Cleef & Arpels stud earrings to the Golden Globes. Others who went with standout studs were Julianna Margulies, Emily Deschannel and Naomi Watts. Just like the drop earrings, these oversized studs are best worn without a necklace and with your hair in a bun or a side parting.

Cocktail Rings

A classic way to glam up any outfit, there were plenty of stunning cocktail rings on many a finger on the celebrities this award season. Our favourite is the Cartier Flower Ring that Jennifer Lawrence wore at the People’s Choice Awards. Avoid wearing bracelets to let these costume rings grab attention. Be sure to have manicured or lightly painted nails as your hands will be getting plenty of attention.

Coloured Jewels

Whether wearing to brighten up a black or white number, matching your jewels to your outfit or picking jewellery in a contrasting colour; coloured jewels were the choice for many a celebrity. We particularly love Rose Byrnes fuchsia studs at the SAG Awards and Taylor Swifts on trend turquoise drop earrings at the People’s Choice Awards, both by Lorraine Schwartz. Get inspired and start playing with colours for that extra glam look.

Bracelets & Cuffs

Chunky chain link bracelets or an arm full of bangles are all on trend at the moment. Bulgari’s Serpenti bracelet proved very popular with Julianne Moore, Rachel Weisz (the face of the Bulgari Serpenti range) and Michelle Dockery all spotted with the stunning bracelet on their arms.

Bags and Shoes

Of course no outfit is complete without the perfect bag and shoes. Metallic shoes and glittery or embellished clutches were the trend of the red carpet this past month.

Coco Chanel once said; “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous”.

By adding the right piece of statement jewellery you can make any outfit classy and fabulous, giving you a look that’s worthy of the red carpet.
