Tip#1 : Apply your cleanser of choice to your face in a circular motion. Keep massaging in a circular motion for thirty seconds to a minute. Then your facial toner, it can soak up excess oil and remove dirt, make-up and dead skin cells from your face; restore your face’s pH balance; condition and moisturise your skin; and prepare your skin for better absorption of skin care products that are applied to the face immediately after the toner.

Tip#2 : Leave your toner damp before applying your serum and you should wait at least 5 minutes until the serum is fully absorbed by the skin before applying your moisturiser in order to seal and magnify the benefits of the serum.

Tip#3 :The number one mistake a lot of women make is choosing  the wrong shade to contour with; always stay within two shades of your natural skin tone. Too dark or too light will look terrible in natural light! This goes for highlighting too, white highlighters can end up looking unnatural, especially when paired with a contour.

Tip#4 : Start with using a super thin brush and dot the concealer - one shade lighter than your foundation- onto all unwanted spots  and lightly  blend with your finger.  Then apply your normal foundation. You’ll want to contour your nose, forehead and jawline after you’ve applied foundation, concealer, or whatever you usually wear.

Tip#5 : For Under eyes, go one hue lighter than your foundation, mix the concealer with an eye cream for a hydrated finish that is less likely to crease, as you want to brighten this area. For the rest of the face use the same shade as your foundation for an even finish.

Tip#6 : You should be contouring differently based on your unique face shape. To easily identify your face shape, just smile—it accentuates your natural bone structure, just contour according to the below rules:

Oblong and rectangular face shapes: Contour along your hairline and down your chin to add more roundness to your face.

Round and heart-shaped faces: Add a light dusting of contour powder to your forehead and along your cheekbones, then right below the chin (start at your chin, then blend upward along your jaw).

Oval faces: Contour below your cheekbones, from right above the corners of your mouth to your ear.

Tip#7 : Use a flat brush to lightly apply the contour - two shades darker than your foundation- under the cheekbones, sides of your nose, forehead, and jawline, then blend it with a larger brush or beauty sponge.

Tip#8 : To contour your nose first highlight the centre of your nose, with a matte highlighter with a shade lighter than your natural skin tone. Start at the bridge of your nose and apply a line of concealer down your nose, stopping before you reach the end. Next, add a little dot at the very tip to give your nose a little upturn. Then use a sponge or your ring finger to soften the stripe. First, press the concealer into your skin, and then lightly rub the edges to buff out any harsh lines.

Tip#9 : Add highlighter with a fan brush to the areas of your face the naturally catch the light: the brow bones, the bridge of your nose and above the cheekbones.uses light to define your features, giving a sculpted effect similar to contouring, but in a more subtle way.

Tip#10 : It is more natural to go with matte foundations and stay away from sparkle and shimmer when contouring.
